This week I will turn Forty. My past few challenges at Platinum Scraps I have been making cards in prepration of my next stage in life. It seems just like yesterday I was 17 and headed away to college. My time sure flies...Anyway I will leave you with the cards I have prepared for myself.

I hope everyone had a productive weekend and made something for National Scrapbook Day. I also hope that everyone that acts in some capacity as a Mother had a super Mother's Day.

Cricut Circle Craft Room Post

A challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog For National Scrapbook Day was to post a photo of you in your craft space. I am posting a photo of me sans makeup.....I will post photos of my room within the next couple of weeks. I am having a hard time placing furniture. I finally got a Pottery Barn Bedford Project Table so I am still trying to figure out where I like it. But I love the desk...Heres me and my E2 and gypsy girl.

This week the challenge was a recipe card challenge. I also needed to make an Easter card for my sweet daughter and I wanted to make one to match her Easter Basket. My daughter is the sweetest ballerina girly girl you could ever imagine, but she has a special love for the Toy Story movies. Our absolute favorite of all time is me asking her to guess how much I love her and her always giggling and saying "mom, I don't know how much?" and my response is always the same, "To Infinity and Beyond". Yes we are corny but I love my sweet little girl. The sketch:

I have been away from blogland for a while but hopefully I will remain back and doing what I love to do. I hope you have kept up with Platinum Scraps as the design team there still remains awesome. Check out what the design team there has revamped and done. Platinum Scraps now has a Team A-Layout Team and a Team B-Card Team. Can you guess which team I am on????? Of course if you are a blog reader of mine then you should know I am passionate about cards. I will still make layouts as I have lots of photos to scrap but as far as the design team I will be making cards.
For today's project we used a sketch....

This week I used the Hello Kitty cricut cartridge to make a card for my daughter. She is a huge fan of Hello Kitty so I thought this was fitting. I thought the pieces would be a challenge to put together but it was easy peasy. Enjoy

This is the layout that I made for the challenge over at Platinum Scraps. Stop by to see what the rest of the design team made. I used the new Lacy label cricut cart for my scallop circle, I used the winnie the pooh font for the title and I got the bananas off of Preserves cart.

This week I used the Independence Day Cricut Cart and made a few cards to send to family and friends. I used stamps from Impression Obsession and Rubberworks for images as well. The challenge this week was a Mothers's Day free for all. I chose to make a layout with a photo I had of my mother with us five children all together. I know what you are thinking there are six children plus mom in the photo. Well that handsome fellow is my nephew and this was at his deployment ceremony prior to him leaving for Afghanistan. He is home safely now and I know mom loves this photo. Enjoy.

Surprise Saturday

Today was my day to be featured on Platinum Scraps for Surprise Saturday. I decided to try my hand at digital stamps that I have had my eye on for a while. I love to stamp but I also heat set my images before I color them so this was a bit of a challenge for me. I must admit that I love the stamps I have found at Mo's Digital Pencil Shop. In the midst of a storm....

Oklahoma was snowed in the past few days and thousands here still don't have power but in the midst of this storm something great did arise.

This week a blog was launched with a very talented group of ladies. I was overcome with excitement when I was asked to be a designer for the team. Each Monday we will post a new challenge and each designer will add their spin on the challenge. I will also post my own projects here as well.
